About Me

As a child I was known for my highly energetic and inquisitive nature.

Perhaps it is no wonder that I became fascinated at an early age with the automobile.  Just think about all the shapes and colors they come in.  Couple those qualities with the speed, sounds and, yes, individuality and you get a lot of excitement!

So naturally, an early favorite car of mine was a red Corvette Stingray.

I also became interested in what cars were made of and how they were constructed.  But not just cars.  I curious about other types of products too.

While reading an article in a car magazine, I learned about the creative field known as Industrial Design.

Among the values this design discipline emphasizes is the balance between beauty, function, material considerations and production methods for whatever one is designing.

At the ripe old age of 8 years old, I knew what I wanted to become!

Eventually, I received a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree (B.I.D.) from Pratt Institute, along with additional Ind. Des. education while attending the University of Copenhagen.

My time in Denmark also inspired me to get more serious about watercolor painting.

For more than two decades I specialized in designing award winning Point of Purchase Displays.  Clients included Ford, Hunter Douglas, Ralph Lauren and Sony.

Gradually, I moved on from my P.O.P. days and decided to concentrate on painting.

Along with my automotive interests, I have always had a deep respect and fascination for nature.  The latter has led me to go camping in the Grand Canyon.  I also enjoy Scuba diving, travel and photography.

My explorations of automotive design/evolution and watercolor painting continue...
